MEET OUR FAMILY
Krystal Shope, Owner and LMT
Krystal Shope is a longtime Grays Harborite, having graduated from Hoquiam High School and later moving to Monte in 2000. She opened Ambiance Massage & Spa in 2004 after graduating from Ashmead School of Massage the same year. Krystal believes in providing excellence in every area of the massage/spa experience as well as three principles in our healing environment: the ability to Relax, Rejuvenate, and Renew out of a genuine love and caring touch for each person who comes in for therapies. She specializes in providing a relaxing, healing, Deep Tissue massage while using Swedish massage techniques, hot stones/spa, Myofascial Release, and trigger point therapy. These techniques are also loved by our pregnant clients as well. It is thoroughly enjoyable for her to help her clients achieve a more peaceful and rejuvenated state of wellbeing. Krystal gained experience in medical billing from working at a chiropractic office for 13 years, before attending massage school. In her free time, she loves reading, gardening, being in nature while hiking & camping, singing at church on the Worship Team, and most of all, spending time with her whole family.
Brita Ness, LMT
Brita is a born and raised Harborite and graduated from AHS in 2008. She attended Body Mechanics in 2012, then joined Ambiance later that year. In 2017, she took a year off to be a first-time mom. Brita enjoys working with all clients to ensure they receive the massage they want/need for that treatment day – as well as working with pregnant women to help relieve the stress baby puts on their bodies. Some training she has includes: Trigger Point Therapy, PNF, Hot Stone/Spa, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and more. Her favorite part about her job is how not one body is the same, so every massage is unique - which also gives her an idea of what other classes she should take. She and her husband have a daughter and son, and also have two fur babies. She loves spending time outdoors and doing Crossfit in her free time.
Brooke Joaquin, LMT
A former Aberdeen High School student; Brooke became a member of our team shortly after obtaining her massage therapy license from Bodymechanics Myotherapy and Massage in April 2017. Her favorite aspect of her position here is that she is able to share information with others, like how much drinking water, stretching, and applying heat/ice to your body can help you heal. She is certified in Cupping techniques as of November 2017, Advanced Cupping and Gua Sha since September 2018. Some of her other specialties are: treatment based massage, trigger point therapy, and pin and stretch, all of which allows her clients to leave with a restored connection within their minds and bodies. When she's not massaging, she is spending time with her family and friends, and riding her horse.
Joshua Haney, LMT
Joshua joined Ambiance in December 2018, but has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2009 after graduating from Bodymechanics. He also attended Oshio School of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria, Canada. Some of his most recent training includes Methylation & Nutritional Analysis, Pregnancy Massage, and Energy and the Body. The most common modalities of his are: Acupressure, Injury Treatment, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Geriatric, Myofascial Release, and Pregnancy Massage. His number one goal is reducing pain, and finds it gratifying to see his clients’ quality of life improve after their pain has decreased. Joshua is originally from a small town in Alaska, so he likes to leisure outdoors and partake in gardening, kayaking, canoeing, and raises pigs and chickens.
Kallie Pirianian, Office Manager
Kallie is the Office Manager here at Ambiance. She takes care of the insurance billing and communications, scheduling appointments, and also helps with receptionist duties when needed. Her first day at Ambiance Massage was in November 2010. She likes being able to interact with our awesome clients and ensuring that the office is running smoothly. Kallie is always happy to help, and she will undoubtedly do it with a smile. She graduated from Montesano High School in 2012, and then attended classes at Grays Harbor Community College with the intent of majoring in music. Some of her hobbies are: playing and listening to music, taking glass blowing classes, and spending time outdoors.
